Some Signs That Your Man Should Not Do The Laundry

While extra help with household chores is a welcomed thing, something that you want to encourage, laundry is not for everyone. Some minor mistakes here and there can really cost you a lot of extra money in clothes, and machine repairs. If you notice mistakes happening frequently it may be time to pull aside your spouse and gently offer to take over the responsibility.

You accidentally left your new men’s sport watch in the pocket of your pants. Common sense says that as things are thrown into the washer a person quickly checks the pockets, but not her. Now your watch is wedged tightly in the lint trap of the dryer. You shudder as you think about what the charge for the repair is going to be. You really liked that watch.

Your maternity wear now looks like it will fit the baby. After trying to think of ways to stretch it back out, you resign yourself to a shopping trip to replace your wardrobe. While this could prove to be an afternoon of shopping pleasure, it is certainly an expense that was not planned for.

He heard the comments about needing to clean your boots. Now there are a lot of ways to clean women’s brown boots, but he certainly did not choose one of them. He popped them into the washer. Along with the boots he washed bath towels and your delicates. There is no telling how long the boots will take to dry. The towels seemed to have survived the ordeal, but your delicates are another matter. Back to the mall!

All of your socks are pink. All of your underwear is pink. Your white shirts are pink. You politely tried to bring this up only to be told that real men wear pink.

He may well kill you both with static electricity shocks. He has thrown a fleece blanket in the dryer with silk pajamas. They are all meant for sleeping, right? Good luck to you in pulling any of it apart.

She continues to insist that the cashmere sweater was always meant for the dog. That shade of blue complements the tint of her fur just right. You think briefly about how much you remember that sweater costing. Now it is time to pull her aside and offer to relieve her of the laundry, you will happily take over.
